My programs are skill based.
That means that I focus on teaching the fundamental skills and
knowledge areas that are being tested. Although I will teach you the art of being a great test
taker, my basic approach is to help you develop strong problem solving
skills and applied knowledge skills.
Preparation and advanced planing is essential for success on
standardized tests. This is especially true for college admission
tests like the SAT.

In order to maximize your test scores it is critical to begin the test preparation process as early as possible.
first experience as a tutor was in 1988 as a Rotary International
Exchange Student to India. I tutored elementary school children in
English. I was seventeen years old at the time. I later tutored math
and science courses in college at Syracuse University. In graduate
school I developed expertise in test development and worked as an educational
researcher for several prominent organizations in Washington, D.C.
My journey as a
tutor began over 20 years ago and today I deliver comprehensive
educational services based upon a life-time of learning experience that
has brought me around the world.
I meet with all of my students at their school, home, office or now at my new tutoring center in Springfield, Virginia.
My specialty is in
Mathematics, Science, Reading and Writing. However, I provide my
students with a broad educational foundation that goes beyond the
traditional school curriculum. I encourage my students to develop
independent learning and critical thinking skills.
