Irene I. Miranda, Ph.D., LPC
Solution-Focused Counseling & Life Coaching
About Dr. Miranda:
Since 1989 I have embarked on a journey to help others in need. In the role as a case manager, social worker, rehabilitation counselor and clinical therapist I have met so many people who have graciously allowed me to listen and help them with their problems. Many of the lessons learned about life skills has been through the things each and every one of these people have taught me. My professional academic training has helped me develop the necessary strategies to become a solution-focused therapist. The platform to my diversity has been in helping people of all ages, race and ethnicity whether it was during home visits, office-visits or visits to psychiatric facilities, social service offices or at medical offices. I enjoy working with people who need to find courage, empowerment, determination, and become their best advocate. I have learned that everyone has a story to tell and have adopted roles that perhaps has kept them feeling hopeless and trapped. My life was filled with abusive experiences that instilled feelings of being invisible. I understand the struggle it is to find strength and commitment to transcend from hopelessness to vitality, from grief to love, from victim to survivor. In transcending, I now focus on the script of empowerment instead of defeat, which has inspired me to help others transcend their pain and change the script of their life. There are solutions within us waiting to be revealed.
