What can a parent do?

Set your child up for academic success. A parent is the child's strongest advocate. I encourage all of my studentís parents to take an active role in the educational and tutoring process. Parents are welcome to sit in on all tutoring sessions. I encourage both parents and students to develop strong advocacy skills when it comes to their education.

A little time, planning and money spent now is a lot of time, money and stress saved later. GreatTutoring delivers educational skills that last a lifetime.

Are there any long-term commitment requirements?

No. Although we do require our clients to sign a form acknowledging our policies, there is no long-term commitment required. I do encourage clients to contract my services for at least a one-month period to ensure my availability and consistency. I tend to book up very quickly, especially around exam times. Many of my clients have been with me for several months or even years and have signed professional service agreements with me on a quarterly basis.

What makes GreatTutoring unique?

As the name implies, I take great care in delivering the very best tutoring services. I recognize that a strong rapport and good chemistry between tutor and student is essential to the effectiveness of one-on-one tutoring. I am highly motivated, personable, well-rounded and skilled to create an environment which encourages students to achieve academic success. I strive to excite my students about the learning process; instilling in them a sense of confidence, which in turn makes them much more productive in the classroom.

What is the difference between your tutoring services and traditional learning centers?

There are a few important differences. First, all my programs are designed solely for one-on-one instruction, as opposed to traditional learning centers which are comprised of group lessons. Next, I follow the student's curriculum from school. l work with current classroom assignments and prepare for upcoming tests, therefore what they learn during each session will be directly applied to their class work. I also augment the students learning to go beyond the traditional school curriculum and include a much more comprehensive foundation. Further and most importantly, traditional learning centers do not use the same instructor session to session. Clearly a child can not develop a strong rapport with an instructor, if that instructor is being switched from session to session. The instructor in the group session would have to become newly familiarized with each new student every session. I maintain an on-going relationship with many of my students that can last for months or years.
